Class of 2029
Bass Trombone

How has being in the Bridgeland High School Band changed you as a person?
It's helped me truly see how awesome it is when you're part of a community and the experiences that can lead from being part of said community.
How has band helped prepare you for life after high school?
It's shown me the value of hard work and what it can really do for you and how it can get you to places most people don't get to — like UIL State or BOA Super Regional Finals, for example.
How has band helped you build friendships or a sense of belonging?
It's helped me get so many friends. I mean, for Homecoming I went with almost every single freshman trombone — which is like 15 people total, by the way.
Why do you believe programs like this deserve financial support from the community and businesses?
I believe these types of programs deserve financial support because music education is very important for lots of people, not just students but teachers, too. Financial support helps fund better instruments, competition trips, trips just for fun like Disney, etc. and that can make life-changing experiences for students that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
Any final thoughts to share?
Yeah — band is awesome, being good is awesome, and having money so we can be even better is even more awesome.
