Our Achievements
Established in 2017, the Bridgeland Band is a 6A program with nearly 400 wind, percussion, and color guard members.
MARCHING BAND
The Bridgeland Marching Band is a regular Bands of America (BOA) Regional finalist and was named a finalist at the BOA San Antonio Super Regional in 2023 and 2025, as well as a BOA Grand National Finalist in 2024.
The program has been named UIL Area I Champion four times and has advanced to the 6A UIL State Marching Championships in San Antonio for six consecutive years, making the 6A State Finals in both 2023 and 2024.
CONCERT BANDS
Bridgeland has five concert bands that compete at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation each year. The bands have earned Sweepstakes ratings every year since the school opened, and in 2023 the Wind Symphony was named a Mark of Excellence Commended Winner.
In 2026, all five concert bands earned Sweepstakes ratings - one of very few schools in Texas with five or more bands competing who received that honor.
SOLOS & ENSEMBLES
Band members participate in the TMEA All-State audition process as well as UIL Solo & Ensemble in the Spring.
COLOR GUARD AND PERCUSSION
The Bridgeland Color Guard and Indoor Percussion groups have shown great success at TCGC and WGI competitions during their winter seasons. In 2022, the Varsity Guard was a finalist at WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH. Indoor Percussion earned the TCGC State Champion title in 2025 and 2026. In 2025, they placed 2nd in Scholastic World Class at WGI World Championships, and they were a finalist again in 2026.
SPECIAL HONORS
In 2023, the band received the prestigious Sudler Shield from the John Philip Sousa Foundation. Bridgeland is the second school from CFISD to receive this honor, and the first one since 2006.
The Bridgeland Band served as a demonstration group for the 2025 Texas Bandmasters Association Convention in San Antonio.
