How has being in the Bridgeland High School Band changed you as a person?
It has thought me what hard work and long hours are, but especially how to get through them and how to keep pushing.
How has band helped prepare you for life after high school?
I feel that band has shown me what it will take to be an adult. I know it will be hard but I feel I may just be able to handle it.
How has band helped you build friendships or a sense of belonging?
Band has always been the number one place for me to get friends, no other activity is like it and it means a lot. It’s impossible to be lonely in band.
Why do you believe programs like this deserve financial support from the community and businesses?
Give kids the opportunity to go places and perform for such large and genuine audiences. As someone who has done it, there is nothing quite like it.
