Parent of Alex, Class of 2027

What would you say to a business considering supporting the band financially?
The Bridgeland Band is run by dedicated leaders, lots of parent volunteer hours, sacrifice and hard work by each student. To see them come together as a group during long days, hard drills, and in the middle of school work, every bit helps ease the financial burden to create something the kids are proud of!
As a parent, I definitely get familiar with our sponsors — we know they are investing in the community and helping to allow the development of a positive, hardworking, dedicated program and people. Our kids might not see it yet, but as they go through the program and beyond, they will find out how much they were helped and will hopefully be there to support their community for the next generation. Go Bears!
How has being part of the Bridgeland Band impacted your child’s personal growth?
Because band requires so much time and discipline, we've really seen our son grow into a responsible and respectful person! We were all intimidated by the schedule and the daunting task of balancing home, schoolwork, religious community, and band, but we saw so much growth in getting work done in between school and practice, prioritization, leadership, responsibility, and so much more. It's been awesome!
What has made you most proud as a band parent? The thing that makes me proud to be a band parent is watching the show come together! I also love to see the development of leaders in the program. They are given responsibility and high expectations and seeing the inclusion and unity they extend makes it a program I want my kids to be a part of!
